Charlie - Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy & CRF

- Update: February 09 - 14 yrs. Kidney Function normal. Heart Ultrasound - no significant change.
- Update: September 07 - 12 yrs. After having discovered Charlie also had hypertrophic cardiomyopathy 6 months ago, at cardio specialist Stephen Collins of Southern Counties Vet Specialists in Ringwood, Charlie's check-up showed a good improvement with no heart murmur evident and a slight reduction in the thickened heart wall.
- Update: Jan 06 -11 yrs. Bloods all now within normal parameters except Creatinine which is still just above normal.
- Charlie was diagnosed with Chronic Renal Failure (CRF) in July 2005 - In the first month of treatment his creatinine levels dropped by
over 100 bringing him to just outside the normal level. He was 10. There is hope - for all those cat owners having recently had a loved
one diagnosed with CRF.
